A Note to Readers, This is About to Get Ugly.

Hey guys, just wanted to drop a quick note and warn you things are about to get nasty around here.

My blog, that is.

With my last post, I came to the realization that I had made the huge, HUGE mistake of basically letting Facebook have the best of my pictures, posts and thoughts over the last 5 years or so. Those of us who have been around awhile know that NO site is ever “too big to fail”, and that the content we think a service will host forever can be gone tomorrow. (Don’t believe me? Drop me a link to your Angelfire or AOL site in the comments…)

In an effort to re-center and re-prioritize, I am going to be moving the bulk of that content back here over the next couple of weeks. Not everything, maybe not even most of it, but all the little bits and pieces that probably should have been here to start with – the photos, the triumphs, the good days and the bad.

Paul assures me with the nifty stealth post plug-in he has installed, so long as I check a box before I hit publish, these backdated posts should NOT get sent to my feed. While I don’t think many people are still using feed readers, there are lots of people who still gets these posts by email, and I don’t want to flood anyone’s inboxes in the process. If something slips through, please let me know.

In the meantime excuse the mess as I attempt to fill in the gaps, and bring this place back to life. It’s been neglected for too long, and for that I’m sorry. You guys are worth it, and just as importantly, I am worth it.

Let’s get this party started y’all.

    1. Thank you!! I feel like so many of us left it(though you’ve obviously kept the home fires burning, smart girl!!) and it was the wrong thing to do. I dunno, maybe ‘easier’ is what I needed for awhile, but I hate that I let my best go to a site that doesn’t care and may not be around in 5 years.

  1. I’m starting to do the same. What plugin are you using that will let you import content without sending it to your feed? FB has the best of me as well. I’m definitely getting my Insta and FB pics, and my Myspace ones now that I know my password! But I’m thinking of moving some of my more well-liked posts over to my blog as well.
