New Moon Script Leaked? See For Yourself.

Let me be the first to say I don’t know if this is for real or not, but there is a doc going around that people are claiming is a new-moon-coverleaked draft of the script for the New Moon movie (Second Twilight series film) due out in November.

Real or not, it is a good way to pass the time if you are a diehard fan with a bit of time to kill. 😉 Either way be warned, may contain spoilers. (Duh!)

Be sure to tell me what you think..Real? Fan fiction? Or maybe Stephanie Meyer’s idea of a prank to get the internet back for the whole leaked-draft-turned-tantrum over the book she started to write, but apparently doesn’t plan to finish?

  6. Yes, I took a look at the script and even though I enjoyed it. Thats not the real one. I’m not just saying that to be a jerk, It’s not written in script format, even for a draft screen writters always write in script format…Trust me on this one! But I really enjoyed this though =)

  9. I don’t believe this is the real one. Just read the first few pages. Too much kissing, going on about minor details. And I don’t believe a real scriptwriter wouldn’t use automatic page numbering, instead of putting the numbers at the bottom of the page (which changes when you use a different setting). So not the real one, but great to read and wonder how it will become.

  11. Unless…someone typed out the real script into a Word document…so this could very well be the real script, but do we really think an original copy leaked? Unliklely.

    It does say at the end of the script that it had been reformatted. Perhaps it had been in proper script format and was changed. Just an idea, I have no idea what a script format would look like.

  16. Part of me thinks its real and another part doesn’t. Why?

    Well, I think it is real because of various pictures we have seen. Jake did show up at Bella’s school, and Bella did ride on the back of some motorcycles. They talk about the apparation, and I see some lines from script sides. (Harry Clearwaters, to be an example.)

    Now, the part that doesn’t think its real is the lack of the proposal and Mike and Jacob in the theater. True, this could just be an early draft, but I’m sure Melissa would write it in.

    Oh yeah, just remembered. People got pics with Bella all covered up, and they believed she was wearing a green dress. That is another reason why I think it is legit.

    Guess we’ll have to wait for the movie to come out in order to be certain. I read the Twilight script as well, and there were some things in there that was changed.

  24. Umm, I really enjoyed watching Twilight and reading all of the books and i am awaiting the arrival of New Moon.

    I’ve seen the trailer, however I have not seen the script.
    Could someone please put a link on here so that I may view it.

  25. Twilght was awsme. I hope New Moon will be just as awsome, or even better. But I for one just CANNOT wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Nov. needs to come NOWWWWWW!!!!! I am team jacob because Edward left bella. And Before that, he broke up with her. Hard. AND then she became depressed. Great going, EDWARD!!!!!!!!!:(

  28. This is definatly not the real script, its not writtin in the right formatt. also in twilight bella and edward only kissed twice, and in this script there kissing allot. Also the script doesnt fallow along with the trailer.

    And for a movie this protected it would be almost impossible for this script to be leaked, you can typein anymovie you want in google and someone will have had created a script for it.

  29. I Like The "Script" But Not Fully Convinced Its The Real One..Like With Every Part They Describe Something They Like Turn Into Jokes….. Normally They Just Stick To Buisness… And Also They Have The Leaked Script On Microsoft Word..Don't They? I Think They Do..Which Usally It Would Be On Like Adobe..Like "Midnight Sun" Was. You Can Tell That Someone Actually Found It And Put In On The Internet.. Even Stephanie Meyer Had To Stop Writing It Because Someone Stole It..Ugh I Dont Know…JUST CANT WAIT FOR THE REAL MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  30. It is 100% real. How do I know? Based on all the released footage of New Moon, secret filming by fans and character quotes……it's all in the script.

    Too bad for that woman who found the script in the trash b/c she could have made a good amount of money.

    1. I also think it's real. Because there were some lines that I'd heard from the trailers and those lines don't exist in the book and it'd be way too coincidental if someone else had made up exactly the same lines! Like the whole thing that Edward says: "Every second that I'm with you is about restraint… and you're too fragile" was in there but there are some lines/scenes from the newest trailer that I didn't find from this script. I read somewhere that there'll be a movie scene, I remember that Chris Weitz said it in some interview a few months ago that they won't show any scenes from the movie they're watching, though.

      I really hope that was the real script because – although they had changed some things – I loved it! I thought the last Victoria scene was awesome and SPOILERS AHEAD! the whole thing with the cars was kind of nice, especially the last Victoria scene ending and she's hitch-hiking to Seattle. Brilliant! SPOILERS END!

      That must be an early draft, at least I hope it is… Well, guess we'll see it on November 20th which is – takes the calendar – 88 days away!

  32. This script was out before the new moon trailer was released, and the comic-con scenes were presented, this is real! I also think that it is a rough draft of sorts, but all of the scenes we have seen thus far match the script!!!

    This script is a fact. I am a writer myself, and that is fake. Some kid has fooled you by writing a fake script. How do i know? Look at it. It's written on Microsoft word. The real writter of hollywood movies, such as this, would have written it in the proper format, called, "Final Draft" and make it look better. Sorry, but you all have been snowballed.

  35. Yeah, I had some free time on my hands and read the script. I’m gonna go with the fact that it is real. Now, I’m not saying I know what a script looks like, but I’m thinking back to all the previews/comicon sneak peeks and it all seems to match. If this was written and released before then, then the previews match word for word and lead me to believe it’s real! I hope it is, but even if it’s not, the movie has to be close to it at least! Can’t wait for November! Even more excited for Eclipse since it is my favorite of the series!

    So I read the ending

    SPOILER ALERT.
    And even though there is no proposal…
    it is absolutely AMAZING.
    Wow. I didn't think I would agree with the missing proposal,
    but wow is it November 20th yet?

  41. I saw the trailer and the laurant scene doesnt add up in the meadow. This is very much like the book and I don't the moviw would be so linked into the book like that. none of the lines that he says in the trailer are in that bit. Which is why I think that this is a fake one :)) x

  43. I haven't read it but based on everyone's comments I'm thinking this might be fake for 2 reasons. 1. Melissa Rosenberg (the screenwriter) said that all of the copies of the script are watermarked with the actors names so if one leaks they know who to blame. 2nd Chris Weitz (the director) said in an interview that there is a proposal scene.
