(Although I *have* gone back to doing my own waxing after the great Eyebrow Debacle of 2008.)
This is me, with a mustache.
And a little goatee, because my chin felt a little nekkid after doing up such a piss-poor sucky fabulous job with my mascara wand.
I can see you guys thinking maybe this whole divorce thing has driven me off the deep end and possibly even driven me to bat for the other team so to speak, but rest assured, that is not the case. I am not indulging any manly cross-dressing fantasies just yet.
In case you haven’t heard, some of your favorite male bloggers participate in Movember, by growing mustaches during the month of November to raise money and awareness for men’s health issues, particularly prostate cancer. I read about this last year on ProBlogger, and thought it was really cool, despite my personal aversion to facial hair.
It was for this very reason I got a giggle when I read that my SobCon buddy Derek Semmler is participating this year. It seems his wife is a fellow ‘stache hater, but is being a trooper and supporting him in his Movember quest. Then it dawned on me, if she can support this cause, why shouldn’t we?
What can you do?ย How about donating to Derek’s team, or if you are a bit strapped for cash, posting on your own blog and spreading the word?
I’d love to see a few of your own funky mustache creations! Take a pic, link to his(or your own favorite male Movember participant) profile, and drop the link to your post in my comments. I might even see if I can dig up a prize for the best pic!
Be warned, you may have a hard time beating my mustachioed sexiness!
Yeaaahhhhhh baby! You know you want to play too! ๐
Honestly? I seriously need to have a lip wax done. I’m looking a little Chester Molester as of late. And my brows are channeling Chewbacca.
But you look hot! ๐

Sara, many thanks for helping spread the word about Movember. You’re looking good with the ‘stache! Today my wife told me she would lend her support by not shaving her legs for Movember, which I insisted she did not need to do, lol.

Longtime reader, infrequent poster here… I love this post! My boyfriend is growing a stache for Movember, and although I’m not usually a huge fan, it’s for an awesome cause! Rock the stache mo sista!!

You look incredibly familiar. Not because of the stach, either. ๐
Do you have a brother whose name begins with an R?

I sure don’t! I have half-siblings, but have never met them and none begin with R. Was raised an only child! ๐

I’m with you, I’m not a fan of facial hair. Have you heard about guys getting Brozilians (male bikini waxes)?! Americans are so fuzzphobic.
Thanks for finding my blog, yours looks to be like a good time!
