Denial is My Happy Place

And I am situated quite comfortably in it, thankyouverymuch!

One hour till I have to head up for my daughter’s Christmas party, and I am a bundle of nerves. This is my first time as room mom and first time organizing a class party. Sure, it will probably be fine. But what if it isn’t? What if something goes horribly wrong? What if I forget the teacher gift..or no one shows up..or the kids all hate the ornament swap..or I wear the wrong thing and the Gapmoms ridicule me behind my back and word gets out the queen bee room mom is the biggest, dorkiest social outcast ever?

One hour till showtime. Keep your fingers crossed.

  1. Good luck! You’ll be fine… Just remember, those gap moms have nothing on you – matter of fact, they probably left their big girl panties at home.

  2. I agree with Beckie! I am sure it went fine, and furthermore its a kids party they are just happy to eat lots of sugar and not sit in their desks.

  3. Be like me…be so self-absorbed that you don’t even notice what everyone else is wearing so there is no need to worry you wore the wrong thing. Works like a charm! bwahahahaha! 😛
